Puerto Rico Sun Communications is an Internet-based business that provides community specific correspondent services in the form of written articles, photography and more.
PRSUN, an independent multimedia social entrepreneurship registered in the Bronx, is community oriented with a global reach. The main objective for the business is to generate steady revenue while building a network for the Puerto Rican/Latino community.
PRSUN publishes the Puerto Rico Sun cultural news and photoblog at www.prsun.blogspot.com; the Bronx Latino lifestyle blog at www.bronxlatino.blogspot.com; and Clarisel’s Photo Place photoblog at www.clarisel.blogspot.com. The company also produces PRSUN Radio, an online talk show focusing on Puerto Ricans and the diaspora at www.blogtalkradio.com/prsunradio.
Veteran journalist Clarisel Gonzalez is PRSUN’s founder, publisher and editor. She also produces articles on a freelance basis for a variety of print and online magazines, including those serving a Latino niche market. In addition, she is a freelance photographer and regularly curates and showcases her photography on- and off-line.
She is a member of the Freelancers Union and the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce.
Clarisel was recently honored with a 2009 Comite Noviembre “Lo Mejor de Nuestra Comunidad/The Best of our Community” award as part of Puerto Rican Heritage Month activities in New York City.
